When We Were Young: Photographs of Childhood from the National Galleries of Scotland
I took some time to see some visual art today. I often forget that visual work never fails to feed me, particularly when writing can often feel like a daunting task. The free admission, Scottish National Portrait Gallery has several inspiring exhibits, particularly their Photographs of Childhood exhibit, which “explores not only how the experience of childhood has changed over the years, but also how the portrayal of children has shifted too.” Below are a handful of pieces that I loved. Apologies for the iphone pictures for the pieces that were not also listed on their site.
These are just wonderful! The quotes too!
